Honest note: the algorithm rebuilds marked areas from surrounding pixels — results depend on how complex the background is. There is no magic, but for text, stamps and logos on normal backgrounds it is very good.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. MarkGone runs entirely in your browser: decoding, masking and inpainting all happen locally in Web Workers. Nothing is uploaded, and the page keeps working offline once loaded.
What kinds of watermarks can it remove?
Text, date stamps, logos and semi-transparent marks. You mark the region and the algorithm rebuilds it from the surrounding pixels. It works best on simple or slowly varying backgrounds; complex textures may show slight smudging.
How does batch mode work?
Add many images, mark the watermark on one image, click “Apply mask to all” to reuse the same relative position across the batch, fine-tune any image individually, then process up to 50 images in parallel.
Which quality mode should I choose?
Fast: thin marks on smooth backgrounds, quickest. Standard (Telea): the everyday choice for text and logos. Fine: larger areas and textured backgrounds — slower but cleaner.
Is it free? Any limits?
Completely free, no signup, no watermark on the output, no file count limit. Concurrency tops out at 50 parallel tasks; larger batches simply queue up.
